Why you should attend

This is a unique opportunity for all those involved in designing or delivering child protection training and continuing professional development, for various audiences, to update and refresh their knowledge on both child protection and on developments in relation to training methodologies and resources. You will have the opportunity to enhance your effectiveness, make links with other trainers and exchange learning from practice. You will also hear from an expert by experience of her survival in the face of sexual exploitation. We assist the learning of others better when confident, knowledgeable and creative and this requires space for our own learning and reflection and the opportunity to learn from others.

This year’s conference has a twin focus on dealing with disruptive change and on various manifestations of sexual violence against children and the implications of these for training. It will conclude with the award ceremony to recognise the NSPCC and AoCPP Trainer of the year.
