Steve Bore has worked in Child Mental Health, Safeguarding, Risk Assessment, Developmental & Relational Trauma and Therapeutic Intervention since 1993.

His early professional experience was working as a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Specialist in Tier 4 provisions across the UK with children and young people who had developed extreme behaviours having been exposed to serious childhood abuse and resulting trauma and mental health.

The presenting behaviours and experiences of the children, young people and adults have been across a broad but significant spectrum – from murder, torture, rape and arson presenting with extensive symptoms of pathological and Post Traumatic behavioural symptomatology.

Steve qualified as a Social Worker in 2002 at John Moores University Liverpool and worked within the Child Protection and Care Planning teams in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral; becoming a Senior CP Practitioner before leaving to join Barnardo’s in March 2005.

He then spent 12 years specialising in working and managing a Specialist Team with Barnardo’s assessing and offering therapeutic intervention with Children, Young People and Adults who displayed Problematic and Harmful Sexualised and Violent Behaviours.

Steve has worked extensively under the overarching focus of Child Sexual Abuse and his work includes assessing and working directly with Children, Young People and Adults who have been exposed to Developmental & Relational Trauma and gone on to Sexually and Violently harm others.

For the past 10 years, he has been an independent Social Work Consultant, becoming the Director of his own limited company in March 2017, providing Training, Consultancy, Assessment and Intervention, nationally and internationally.
