On the 29th April 2020 the Domestic Abuse Act was signed into law and is set to provide further protections to the millions of people who experience domestic abuse, as well as strengthen measures to tackle perpetrators. The Domestic Abuse Act adopts a gender inclusive approach.

There is an ever increasing need to ensure that men and their children receive male victim friendly help and support in their community from local organisations in the statutory, private and third sector. This includes ensuring statutory safeguarding and equality obligations are met.

This event will highlight how you can help to ensure male victims and their children can be supported in your local neighbourhoods and communities, as well as explaining the experiences and barriers male victims face
