Duncan Helm, Senior Lecturer,  University of Stirling 

Duncan Helm is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Stirling, where is currently the Programme Director for the MSc Applied Professional Studies.

Duncan is a registered social worker, having practised predominantly in child welfare and protection posts before moving to an academic setting. Duncan's teaching expertise is focused on child welfare and protection practice and working with risk and uncertainty. Duncan's research interests are in professional judgement and decision-making with a particular focus on sense-making in conditions of chronic uncertainty.
