In this presentation, we will explore the key principles of the Safe and Together model, and will review the current evidence base for the model. We will also explore evidence from the recent CAFADA study, which explored Safe and Together as a model of innovation in child protection responses to domestic abuse.
Jane Callaghan is a Professor of Child Wellbeing and Protection at the University of Stirling. She has led a range of research projects focused on children's experiences of domestic abuse, and has led reform to legislation in England and Wales in responding to children impacted by domestic abuse.
It has improved my knowledge and understanding about the range of harms caused to children and their impact as I have been able to network with a wide range of experts from the UK and beyond. There is no other multidisciplinary association for child protection professionals focused on learning to support and improve practice and policy
