In this session participants will:

• Explore what the concept of Transitional Safeguarding is, and what it is not.
• Consider messages from research, practice wisdom and expertise from lived experience to understand why Transitional Safeguarding is needed.
• Understand Transitional Safeguarding as an issue of whole-system change, and systems leadership (not an intervention to be ‘rolled out’).
• Hear how some local areas are trying to develop a Transitional Safeguarding response.
• Reflect on how Transitional Safeguarding can transform how young people can be better supported to be and feel safe as they make the transition to adulthood.
