The following information has been provided to us by The Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel Secretariat.
On Thursday 12th February, the independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel will be publishing a national review into the death of Baby Victoria Marten.
It will be available on the Panel’s Gov.uk page (https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/child-safeguarding-practice-review-panel ) from around 09.30am on 12 February.
The review contains important learning for improving protection for all vulnerable unborn babies and infants under 1 following Baby Victoria’s death. Its findings explore working with parents who do not engage with practitioners, responding to concealed pregnancies and managing child protection risks associated with serious offenders and families who move frequently.
We would be grateful if you could share with your networks and support us on LinkedIn after publication to raise awareness of the findings and recommendations, which aims to improve the child safeguarding system across England.
Thank you to all of the organisations who have contributed to the review.
